Pattison Citizens Plan Public Park Gift Land
Enthusiastic Pattison residents met at Pattison school on Friday night June 20 to plan a public park from land given by the late George M. Pattison. The one acre site beside Pattison town property will feature a fence barbecue pits concrete tables a water well electric lights and a shelter for sudden rain. Funding will come from individual donations estimated at 300 to 400 dollars. The Finance Committee includes Mrs Bessie Pattison Mrs G L Buller Mrs Vivian Taylor Mrs Reese Jones Mrs Francis Wilson Guy Pattison and James Pattison. The board of directors includes W C Norris president Guy Pattison Jr vice president G L Buller sec treas Johnnie Mikeska and Jim Pattison.

Sealy Family Injured in Katy Head-On Crash
P H Engelke daughter Lillian and Mrs Cecil Turner, all of Sealy, were in a head-on collision at the U S 90 railroad crossing in Katy on Monday night returning from Houston. Lillian suffered a forehead gash and received first aid in Katy before admission to Sealy hospital. The 1946 Ford and a 1942 Pontiac piloted by Houston residents were involved. the Engelke car was to Sealy next morning.

Traveling couple's cross country journey via Pacific routes
Mr and Mrs Rapasilver shopped in Houston on Saturday. Mr and Mrs D E Thompson left the 81st of May for Port Townsend Washington arriving June 7 after a brief Los Angeles visit. They traveled inland through Yosemite National Park Crater Lake and other notable spots.
