Twenty four members of the Katy Literary club and seventeen husbands attended a chicken barbecue at Humble Recreation hall on June 8. Entertainment included songs by Mrs. D Blackwell and readings by Mrs. J. B. Hudgens, with hostesses and helpers named among the club members.
