She had lived in Brookshire and Hempstead and was deeply active in her church and community. Funeral services were held at Earthman Funeral Home and Sacred Heart Church with interment in Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery. Survivors include her husband and two sisters.
Low voter turnout in Brookshire school election produced support for both 30 cent tax reduction and equalization. Only 46 votes cast with four against one proposal and two against the other, marking another step forward for Brookshire schools.
