A newly completed Katy water well was being washed out this week, pumping water at 650 gallons per minute. The clear water near the Skeet Poorman home drew eight children who waded, floated boats and pulled a wagon through the stream.

Katy School Pool Schedule Sets Restricted Student Access
Effective Monday June 6 the pool will be open only to Katy Schools pupils and to adults residing in the Katy School District. Admission costs 15 cents for pupils and 80 cents for adults. Swim blocks include 10 00 11 30 beginner girls and boys, 2 30 3 30 Grades 1 6, 4 00 5 30 Grades 7 12, and 7 30 9 30 high school and adults with parents allowed to join.
