Congress Park Woman's Club Meeting Recap
The Congress Park Woman's Club met Tuesday at president Mrs. M. B. Hart's home, the second time this year. Mrs. Hart hosted again and appreciation was voiced. The session opened with the Lord's Prayer and a flag song. Minutes from January and the treasurer's report were read by Mrs. L. Daymont, followed by committee reports. A nominating committee chaired by Mrs. Davis with members Mrs. Gervase and Mrs. Cusac was appointed. Mrs. Ed Powers led proceedings and refreshments were provided by the House and Social committee led by Mrs. Robert Davis.

The Court of Honor on Tuesday and Wednesday recognized several boys with awards. Tickets for the 100 limited annual dinner sold out due to space at the Community House. Highlights included world friendship themed décor with a 16 flag arch and world globes. Joe and Mable entertained with vaudeville sticks and homemade instruments. Scouts Dunn Eckman Lord and Jons earned scout equipment for top ticket sales at last fall’s carnival. Troop 87 won for window display in Portage district. Cub Pack 18 placed second in district packs. Beaudoin Arden avenue received a G E portable radio for cubmaster work. The troop committee Beaudoin Ahlgrim Uhlich will tour the LaGrange telephone exchange Thursday.
