Joseph Mutinsky, a Bohemian-born Brookfield shoe dealer, built a 25 year career in the trade after emigrating to the United States. educated in Bohemia, he married Maria Jose Vicky in 1907, has two sons, Edward and Arthur, and previously ran stores on 26th Street before moving to Brookfield with ties to Continental Shoe and Sansi ties.
The Chicago Transit Authority negotiates to absorb the West Towns railways and related Bluebird and Chicago Motor Coach lines. Officials study operating costs as CTA plans a suburb division to operate these lines, with voter referendums likely for municipal approval. Word has been received of the death of Gene Love in Hollywood California on January H after a brief illness of about three days. He was son of Mrs Emma Love longtime Hollywood depot station agent and was known for his singing voice entertaining local groups. Burial services were held in California. His survivors include wife Mildred an eight year old son Jimmy his mother living in La Grange two sisters Mrs Trene Crawford of Berwyn Mrs Mildren Garner of Austin and three brothers Harold of La Grange Verne of Berwyn and Lawrence of Oak Park.
Mrs Anna Mulac 63 a former Cicero resident was buried after last rites at Hrejsa Funeral Home Cicero. She died Thursday Feb 5 at home. Survived by daughter Mrs Mildred Johnson of 3529 Park Avenue and another daughter Mrs Lillian Everatt of Park Avenue and three grandchildren. Interment was at St Marys Cemetery in Chicago
Mrs Lou Wilson Alleman died at her Hollywood home Feb 4 after 22 months as invalid. Born 1863 in Chilhowee Missouri, she lived in Hollywood since 1905. Burial at Forest Home Cemetery officiated by Dr John W Kitching. Pallbearers named. she survived by daughter Mrs A Anderson, two granddaughters Mrs Lucille Schlueter and Mrs Lois Swenarten, and two great grandchildren Tom Ross Schlueter and Darcie Gale Swenarten.
Brookfield council held a meeting to plan the thirty sixth anniversary celebration of Girl Scouting with a father daughter dinner on March 18 at National Halls. The event highlights camping and Brookfield scouts activities with ticket sales at 76 cents.
