Bandits Caught Red-Handed Near Thayer

Sheriff Gardner pursues two Gary bandits who hijacked a poultry dealer’s truck on a highway near the river at Thayer. They bound the driver to a telephone pole, abandoned the truck when slow, and fled toward rail lines. Deputies near Shelby intercepted them as they tried to board a train. only $100 of $400 stolen was recovered, and the duo was lodged in Rensselaer jail.

Citizens Military Training Camps plan and details

Military Training Camps are open to men aged sixteen to thirty five without requiring prior training.
