Weather hits Indiana crops but spares most wheat
Freezing temperatures across Indiana did not produce widespread wheat losses, though some regions report damage to wheat and garden crops. Purdue agents note north counties delayed growth, fruit buds damaged on earlier freezes, and continued spraying urged to salvage crops. Oats show minor damage, corn planting slow with little loss expected from the cold.
