The Home Coming at Schuette School on Friday April 22 drew seventy five guests and former pupils despite bad weather. An exhibit of old school photos and memorabilia, a noon dinner, and a literary program including a humorous skit marked the event. Murder trial opens in Jasper County for Davis death case

In Jasper Circuit Court the State of Indiana charged Ralph M. Davis with murdering his parents when their farm home burned on January 19 1921. Jury voir dire began Monday with 39 questioned and 12 chosen amid intense testimony about alibis, finances, and a long feud over a farm bureau loan. Prosecution outlined family ties and a pattern of attempts to settle debts while the defense argued the father remained alive after the fire and questioned Ralph's movements, aiming to cast doubt on the family tragedy narrative.
