Officers Elected Again at American Legion Post
George Scott Post received re election for its officer slate at the Thursday meeting with T H Rogge returning as post commander and H O Whitt as secretary. Rev Lester Haines was endorsed as local firemaster and Legion Park improvements planned including a cooking furnace and a foot bridge over Kickapoo Creek. A baby boy Thomas Michael Luttrell was born September 4 1942 in San Angelo.

Mrs J N Tannehill left Friday by bus for Los Angeles to join her son Lt Sgt J B Tannehill in Bakersfield where he is stationed. County Judge M Neil Wylie and Commissioner S A Riker accompanied Wayne Johnson to Abilene to see a specialist. Johnson has not recovered from a trucking accident last year. Brooks Browning conducted business in Ballinger Thursday afternoon.
