Coke County Seeks 7 Teachers for 1940 41
Coke County requested Southwest Texas State Teachers College for seven teachers for 1940 41 as a response to a severe postwar shortage. From Texas, 2021 calls were received with 552 placements. calls far exceeded placements in 1940 and 1941. Educational leaders urge former teachers to return and women recent graduates to enroll for ten and a half months of study.
