Death Notices Grace Lockhart of Sherwood and Kansas City

Grace Lockhart, daughter of W. W. and wife, sister of J. J. Leonard and others, died in Queensboro North Carolina after illness linked to tonsillitis. Born August 1 1897 near Grady she grew up in Sherwood and finished Sherwood High School. She and her husband recently moved from Kansas City where she served as secretary for Palm Olive Soap Manufacturers.

Editor Seeks Eggs to Boost Subscriptions

In The Enterprise last week an egg for subscription plan offered 15 cents per dozen for fresh eggs to apply toward renewals and new subscriptions. A special "GG' DAY" set for Saturday February 18 invites bringers of eggs, promising 15 cents per dozen credit toward dues and additional pricing on corn and antiize.

Gin profit split plan by Blackwell editor friend

E R McClendon, a Blackwell gin operator, plans next season to divide profits with his customers. If he runs, he will take a living and gift the rest back to farmers who ginned with him, giving each farmer one dollar back per ginning. He favors selling but may operate again to fund the gift plan.

Mrs Franz Copeland Dies in Blackwell

Mrs. Franz Copeland died at Blackwell on Tuesday February 14 and was buried Wednesday in Blackwell Cemetery after services at Blackwell Methodist Church led by Rev. C. L. Fox and district elder Rev. O. P. Clark. She was 73, her husband having died about a year earlier. The Enterprise extends sympathy to the mourners.

Mr and Mrs Cumbi Ivey Bridge Party Recalls Washington Decor

Mr and Mrs Cumbi Ivey entertained Friday evening February 10 with a six table bridge party. The home featured flags and portraits of Washington and table numbers framed as silhouettes of the president.
