State Hatchery distributes fish to cooperators and farms
Haskel White, superintendent of the State Hatchery, visited Robert Lee and distributed brim, crappie and channel catfish to producers cooperating with County Agent Smith in the Wild Game Conservation Demonstration. Fish will be placed in larger tanks on partner farms and another distribution is planned. Mrs. T. C. Price returned from Las Cruces after visiting her brother We May and brought back proof of the country’s greatness along with an array of gifts including an apple and grapes.

Bronte Farm Loan Association Plans Film Program
The Bronte National Farm Loan Association reports 172 Federal Land Bank loans totaling 125460 with only one foreclosure. At the Texas Theatre on September 9 1940 the group will present home demonstration and 4 H Club films from the Federal Land Bank of Houston with an explanatory talk by Derwood Warner.

King Family Reunion Marks 50th Wedding Anniversary
A New Year Day gathering near Edith Coke County New Mexico brought Sam King and spouse Mr and Mrs King plus children Bruce Dan Edith Anna Ruth Robert Lee and others for the 50th wedding anniversary. The old Benson homestead built 1889 hosted the event. the King couple married 49 years ago and now reside on a nearby farm.
