Virgiline Wicker returns to Wilmeth School after a ten day chicken pox absence. Jessie Overman, son of Mr and Mrs Doug Overman, dies and funeral services are held at Wilmeth with relatives present. Elmer Bryan becomes trustee, visitors include Roy DeWitt and Earl Roach, A G Koenig visits Coleman, Jetty Norris out due to her father’s illness in Dallas. Eubanks leads Sunday Bible School at the Christian church with forty in attendance.
Robert Lee Hill and Miss Claudia Rampy of Wilmeth wed on Saturday March 27. The community extends best wishes for the couple.
The Better English Club of the upper grades enjoyed a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Henry. Miss Georgia Faye Henry hosted. Lawn and parlor games provided fun and prizes in a grain guessing contest went to L. C. Condra and Weldon Wade. Refreshments followed for members and guests listed, including Melbaize, Onita Faye Wilson, Nellie Henry, and Dassy Ruth Sebastian among others.
