A newspaper notice urges renewals and new subscriptions to the Bronze Enterprise at a September special rate of 1.50 per year. Texas residents save 50 cents and out of state readers save one dollar. After 12 days the price rises to 2.00 for Texas and 2. fifty for others. The offer covers renewals and new subscriptions.
The Bronte Jr WHO Club met September 17 at Bronte City Hall with Mrs. Ella Clyde Black as hostess. Members answered roll call with selected subjects, reports on the last council meeting and closet storage discussed, Mrs. Hipp won a prize, and the next meeting is October 8 with Mrs. Clifford Clark. Ice cream and cake were served.

Mr and Mrs Royce Lee announce the birth of their son Royce Linton Lee at St Catherine s Hospital East Chicago on September 12 1947 weighing six pounds fourteen ounces Maternal grandparents are Linton Crow East Chicago and Renza Lee Maverick paternal grandparents. Betty Crow former homemaking teacher at Bronte High School last year.
Frank Keeney traveled to San Saba as a visitor and spent the previous Friday there, according to local reports.
