Abilene West Texas Fair Boosters announce Abilene event
A delegation from the Abilene Fair Boosters promoting the West Texas Fair and Rodeo in Abilene Sept 15 to 20 toured the area last Monday. Led by L S Perry the group invited Coke County residents to attend, highlighting livestock, poultry, horses, autos, home goods and a sheriff's posse championship rodeo with nightly 8 pm shows and afternoon 2 pm matinees.

Mrs Frances Pruitt hosted 13 members of the Junior Study Club at her home on Friday September 5 to begin fall activities with a luncheon. Hospital Notes on Prine Family and Rutherford
Mrs. Leo Prine and her 12 year old son Johnny were injured when their car overturned between Lance and Silver last Friday. Mrs. Prine was dismissed Sunday and Johnny remains confined but is improving. J. M. Rutherford, after a recent operation, also remains in the hospital.
