Bronte seniors to graduate Friday night in auditorium
Eighteen Bronte High School seniors will receive diplomas Friday night at the school auditorium with Dr. W A Hunt delivering the address. Valedictorian Dana Eubanks and salutatorian Gwen Kirkland will speak, with Bobby Allen as high boy. class officers include Gwen Kirkland and Tommy Boecking. The senior trip heads to Rockaway Beach after commencement.

Bailey Bell Suffers Stroke on Lake Nasworthy
Bailey Bell a retired Bronte mail carrier suffered a stroke while fishing on Lake Nasworthy near San Angelo. He was with Billy Demoville on a lake trip and was taken to St. John's hospital where he was reported to be portly paralyzed on the left side.

Tennyson Baptist Church Rebuilding To Start Monday
The Tennyson Baptist Church plans foundation work starting Monday for a new stucco building on the burned site. Lynn Griffin of San Angelo will start by June 1 with a ninety day completion, featuring a 28 by 48 auditorium and a 20 by 38 fellowship hall with a kitchen and four classrooms. Reverend Robert Ritchie serves as pastor. deacons J. P. Arrrott and W. T. Green lead the building program.

Bronte Fire Truck Fund Grows Amid Pending County Action
The Bronte fire truck fund reached 1386.73 by Wednesday noon with a 100 dollar donation from West Texas Utilities Co. A county contribution of 1500 was proposed by Commissioner Howard Brock but awaits legality ruling from the attorney general. Volunteers remain hopeful and donations are being accepted at The Enterprise or First National Bank.
