Hospital District Reopens Bond Sale After Legal Hurdle
East Coke County Hospital District directors met with fiscal adviser Gordon Chariton and attorney Frank Dickey to renegotiate a nursing home bond sale. Columbian Securities offered a 6 percent option, but a prior option lapsed during litigation over voting rights in tax bond elections. Bond handling costs rose from 3200 to 5750 dollars, and the 15 day option now hinges on a Supreme Court ruling on non taxpayers voting.
