Capitol Overhaul Nears as State Finance Building Opens
Massive emigration from the capitol followed by a major interior remodeling will start after July 1. The new 6.6 million State Finance Building opens, moving State Treasurer and Comptroller staff, with 150 new offices and committee rooms added in vacated areas. a $1.5 million renovation fund, new elevator, carpet work, and a Senate chamber update are planned. plenty of disruption expected during peak tourist season.
