Arrangements Made for Send-Off Parade for Army Recruits
Bristol welfare committee met at the Belvedere Hotel to plan a send-off parade for the third quota of the National Army from the district. Col. A W Anthony and local officials outlined escort duties, with the King Philip Fife and Drum Band leading from the Y M C A. The parade departs about 8 p m for the 8 20 a m train, and locals will provide cigarettes and a dollar value to Bristol boys both departing and already at Camp Devens, with further donations requested.
