At 3 Grosvenor Square the American Embassy cafeteria features three by five foot black and white wall panels by Leo F Gentner. The murals depict New England scenes, Montanan grain, San Francisco Bay, Monticello and other American icons. The project funds come from embassy liquidation proceeds and staff investments. the canteen operates non profit with 50 employees and aims to comfort Americans overseas.

The post organized major Fourth of July activities hosted visitors and a large junior baseball team that won the state title in 1952 along with a testimonial banquet and player jackets. The post aided Civilian Defense as air watchers and allowed use of the Post Home for meetings. A Back To God Movement event was held in March with a community gathering at the Post Home on March 27.

Bristol Planning Board criticizes Stradling for missing hearing
The Bristol Planning Board voted to send a letter to Fred P Stradling manager of Bristol County Water Company expressing disappointment that he did not attend a hearing on regulations for new plats and road damage from utility cuts. The board plans to invite him to the October 22 meeting and notes repeated unacknowledged invitations. John D Moore of Narragansett Electric said gas mains to edge of property lines would only be installed with evidence of sufficient demand and that repairs of utility cuts fall to the town or state.
