Dr William Frederick Williams longtime Bristol physician and former state representative and senator died after a ten day illness. A vestryman at St Michael s for 49 years he held many civic and fraternal memberships. He was 71. He married Mildred Lewis Walliams on January 20 1891 and practiced decades in Bristol. Funeral arrangements announced.

Governor Case to Speak at Lions Club Monday
Gov Norman S Case will be the principal speaker at the Warren Lions Club weekly luncheon and meeting at the Belvedere Hotel Monday evening. Two Poultry Deaths and Garage Break-In Reported
Francisco Cirillo reported that two hen pheasants and one cock were killed by dogs at his Metacom Avenue property around 9:45 PM Wednesday. He fired at the dogs with a shotgun but cannot confirm hits. Joseph Raposa said an open garage at the rear of his East State Street home was entered between 11:15 PM and early morning, causing considerable damage to his car. police are investigating.
