Defense Council adopts policy of reduced expenditure
The Bristol Council of Defense last evening approved cuts in costs at the Control Center by removing most telephones while keeping air raid alarms. The siren system will be operated by hand due to transformer shortages and no transformer priority rating. Bertram W Wall will remain chief air raid warden as resignations were not acted on. Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month.
