Saviano Receives Brown AB Honors Biology Degree
Gabriele A Saviano son of Vincent J and Mrs Saviano of 48 Constitution Street earned an AB with honors in Biology at Brown University commencement held in the First Baptist Meeting House Providence. He graduates Colt Memorial High School Class of 1940 and joins Sigma Xi and the Dean’s List. He will study at Yale Medical School this fall and will serve as assistant instructor in Biology, per Vice President Adams. About 150 baccalaureate degrees were conferred by President Henry Winston during Brown and Pembroke ceremonies as Brown honors return to fall program. A service flag was presented by alumni recognizing 3685 Brown men and women in the armed services and 28 lives lost in the war. He was technical director of the Brown Network and a member of the Aescapaleus and Newman Clubs.

Telegram from the War Department informs Mr and Mrs Perroni that their son Staff Sergeant Anthony P Perroni is missing in action since 14 October in the European theatre. He served as assistant crew chief and aerial gunner on a Flying Fortress and joined overseas August 28. Perroni a Holy Cross graduate and Boston University law student enlisted July 29 1942 and chose to stay with his crew over a commission.
