Approximately $1700 was realized by the Bristol Police Beneficial Association from the fifth annual ball at the Bristol Casino. Ticket sales plus souvenir program contributions accounted for most of the funds, with an annual $500 town appropriation and private gifts also boosting the pension fund. Tipsy Driver Pleads Guilty To Drunken Driving
Joseph R. Soares, 24, of 73 Centre Street, fined $100 and costs by Judge William T. O'Donnell in Fifth District Court after a Sunday arrest on Franklin Street. A separate driver, Joseph Shounard of Fall River, was found without a license after a Wood Street speeding stop and was fined $10 plus costs. In replevin, Thomas D. Kearney Post No. 6 of the American Legion is one of seven of 69 Nebraska posts to earn the National Americanism Commission citation for community service. Commander Edmund S.
