Bristol Chapter American Red Cross secretary Mrs. Clara Diman revealed 2381 sewing and 767 knitting articles produced by 110 volunteers under Mrs. William Pinch. The Home Service Department aided 63 civilians and 6 ex servicemen, with 46 home visits and 476 interviews. A 752 member roll call and a newly organized Motor Corps are noted. Staff Sergeant George M Moren of Battery C 243rd Coast Artillery has an honorable discharge at Fort Getty after 16 years in National Guard service. He joined in 1925 with Battery B Bristol detachment and rose through the unit that later formed the present Battery. Also discharged with him were Albert Marro and Cosmo Cristafaro of Providence, with several others expected to be discharged imminently from the Battery.
