Increased PWA Allotment for Andrews Memorial School
Sup t of Schools Elmer S Mapes announced that the PWA will base its allotment on a $25 000 valuation of Trinity Church property hosting the Andrews Memorial School, up from $14 000, increasing the federal grant by 4950. Ralph W Childs appraised the property and a 150 fee was paid. The school board’s Rockwell had flagged the earlier underassessment and PWA agreed to reopen with a new appraisal. The extra funds will finance equipment for the new school.

Pacheco Fined For Neighbor’s Cow Bite Incident
Manuel Pacheco 54 of 14 Bourne Avenue Perry Plat was fined 30 dollars and costs for having his dog bite a neighbor’s cow after a dispute. The case occurred last Sunday in Fifth District Court with an interpreter present. Three motorists were fined five dollars and costs for failing to stop at intersections. Edward J Quinn entered not guilty plea to drunken driving. case continued two weeks with bail set at 500 dollars. Other continuances and civil actions were recorded, including Unemployment Compensation Board cases and several continuances for summary judgment.
