Supt. of Schools E S Mapes and Rev A R Parshley reportedly unique in the state for bidding and making a seven heart grand slam at the American Bridge Olympic event in Holmes House. Other tables saw Bartlevich and Jacobson with a six heart slam as scores were mailed to New York for judging with trophies and a future national tourney promised. Olympian Club Plans Halloween Dance at Bristol Casino
Preliminary plans for a Hallowe en dance to be held at the Bristol Casino on October 28 were approved at a Wednesday meeting of the Olympian Club in the MCA building. The entertainment committee led by Gutdo De Cristofaro will run the affair, with Oscar Herzig, George St Angelo, William Furtado and Christy Medeiros on the panel. The club also voted to sponsor a booth at the Country Fair run by the Community Athletic Field Committee next month. Additional committees include Athletic chaired by Orlando Bisbane with Albert LeClerc, Michael Pasquarelli, Joseph Perry, and George Magee. Visiting chaired by Anthony Marino, Frederick Marz, and Anthony DaPonte.
