Country Fair planned at State Armory Nov 19 as fund raiser
A community athletic field project behind Guiteras Memorial Junior High School will stage Country Fair at the State Armory in town on November 19. Fifteen local organizations will sponsor booths and activities including vaudeville acts, a street parade, and crops display. Man Dies From Bicycle Accident Injuries
John W Brown 66 of Peck Avenue died at home after a bicycle struck him as he walked on Hope Street causing skull fracture and brain hemorrhage. The rider John Algeia 18 of Dixon Avenue was questioned as authorities investigate. Brown long served Taft School as janitor and leaves wife Rebecca and two sons Bruce and Arthur. Funeral set for Thursday at his residence with burial in North Cemetery.
