Bristol youths join Monday 6 15 pm weight lifting under John White with parent permission and gear. Saturday 2 pm sessions also for junior high boys. TV feature and Halloween party plans unfold with the Y and American Legion. Hi Y treasurer Anthony Puniello and secretary Gregory Silvia lead clubs under advisor Richard Rene.
CC Cirillo received a citation at a Bristol Board of Recreation ceremony at the Y for twelve years of service. John A Carre, board chairman, presented the award noting Cirillo joined the board in 1949 and was secretary 1951 to 1955 before becoming chairman who advocated for adequate recreation facilities. Later, Bristol Garden Club hosts a meeting at Mrs. Arthur H. Carr's home on Wednesday, and St. Mary's Guild sponsors a Christmas Bazaar at St. Mary's Auditorium on November 9 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
