Two Boilers at Colt High School to Cost 5639 Dollars

Colt Memorial High School plans to replace two 16 year old boilers. Sub committee chair Vincent Saviano cited an estimated cost of 5639 dollars, funded from the Colt High Special Fund. One boiler to be replaced by January 1 and the second by February 1, with water chemistry cited as a factor.

Teenagers Paint YMCA Recreation Room The Pirate Ship

C&A Girls Club Holds Annual Banquet

The 18th annual Collins and Aikman Girls Club banquet took place at the New Highland Casino on Saturday night with about fifty attendees. Toastmaster was Joseph H Farrell, Bristol plant resident manager. Speakers included Albert Johnson, J. Foster Price, and Joseph A Margo. President Miss Margaret Morris gave the welcome address. Committee members were Mrs Marjorie B McCann, Mrs Mary Murphy, Miss Mary Paull, Mrs Mary Garvin, Mrs Jean Tetreault, Mrs Mary McKenna and Miss Alice Walsh.

Need for $500 Shown By B. W. Wall

Executive Secretary B. W. Wall urged Bristol Town Council to add $500 to the Veteran's Retraining and Reemploy ment Office budget due to photostating discharge papers for terminal leave pay. Wall noted the extra expense made the current budget insufficient. Councilman Herzig supported the request, citing the office's good record. Donations to the American Legion Halloween Committee totaled 210 dollars, with many individuals and groups contributing and more gifts encouraged via the Hal loween Fund Committee at Kearney Post No 6.
