Molasses Toffee and a Bristol Christmas Memory
A reminiscence recalls old time toffee making in Bristol with molasses, sugar, and a family recipe. A nephew describes hogshead molasses, street sellers, and a kitchen accident with Lambie’s burned hand treated by Captain Lawless. The tale blends food lore with community help and a love of music.
