The Bristol Zoning Board of Review again withheld its decision after a long executive session. John Maciel of 266 Wood Street, sole supporter of his ill 84 year old mother since 1936, was ordered by Probate Judge Morphis A Jamiesyesterday to surrender a joint bank book valued around $900 to his sister Mrs Katherine M Cheetham of Main Street Warren The book's title names mother and son and had been placed by the mother for use in illness or death The conservator of the mother's estate Mrs Cheetham was appointed last month Maciel had continued paying his mother's board nursing and hospital expenses from his own funds and had loaned her money for land purchases the court action was represented by Raymond A Thomas and Frank L Martin
Miss Grace Castro will headline the Bristol Fashion Show Thursday October 23 at Colt Memorial auditorium. The event is staged by Aline Booth of Fall River for the Bristol Women's Republican Club with numerous local women modeling, including several named residents.
Kearney Post No. 6 of the American Legion appeals for donations to fund the 1952 Halloween activities. A small balance from last year remains and an estimated 75 dollars is needed to ensure the costume parade and parties on October 31 proceed.
