Air Warning Tests Planned by Kearney Legion and Scouts
The American Legion Kearney Post will conduct air raid warning tests Thursday through Saturday this week and October 13 to 16, from 6 am to 6 pm. Volunteers, including Boy Scouts Sea Scouts and civilians, will man observation posts at Poppasquash under the direction of wardens and chief observer George R Fish. Reports go to Mitchell Field New York where pursuit planes will respond to suspected enemy bombers. About sixty observers are needed and may join by contacting Chief Observer Fish or deputies.
