Coast Guard Cutter Spar crew on a relief mission spotted an overturned 21 foot cabin cruiser south of Mishaum Ledge. Five survivors were rescued by the tanker Plattsburg Socony and later taken aboard the Cuttyhunk Life Boat Station. no injuries reported. Antone Medina-Pacheco aged 3 son of Mr and Mrs John Medina-Pacheco of 217 Wood St injured Sunday when chasing a hula hoop darted into Wood Street. Peter Barry Remieres 16 of 37 Fales Road struck him at about 20 mph near Richmond Street and dragged him about 25 feet. child placed on danger list at R I Hospital. He suffers fractures of both wrists hips left shoulder left ankle pelvis separation and brain concussion. Patrolman Frank Brown Jr photographed scene and car checked for defects. none found.

Three youths aged 13 14 and 15 were arrested in Providence after a spree of vandalism last Friday through Sunday. They broke six windows at Valley School, ransacked Reynolds School, tampered with gas tanks including a police cruiser, and stole a car from Central Street to flee police.
