Bristol Townies Fall to Manton Mohawks in Close Clash
The Bristol Townies lost 13 to 6 to the Manton Mohawks at Guiteras Field on Sunday afternoon. Bristol led 6 0 in the final period after Velleca’s 30 yard pass completion but Manton answered with a 70 yard drive ending in a score and added a late defensive stand. Bristol’s offense showed flashes with Jimmy Sousa and Velleca, but costly errors and depth issues limited the comeback as Mantons dominated time of possession and field position.
