Rotarians Plan Financing Food Station Concert Aid
At a Wednesday meeting John G. DesLauriers outlined the food station for undernourished school children, seeking outside support to sustain operations through the school year. The Bristol Train of Artillery Band and Providence artists offered free services for a January 7 concert at Guiteras Memorial auditorium to raise funds with minimal expenses.

Veterans at the Rhode Island Soldiers Home and residents of local homes received turkey dinners while charitable groups and Boy Scouts supplied baskets. Bristol Battery C gains high praise for its National Guard performance with an Excellent artillery rating and second place in the General Proficiency Trophy behind Battery F Woonsocket by 0.97 points. They also took a runner up finish in attendance under Capt James Murph. Officers Capt Moren, Lieut Garvin, and Lieut McMillan commend the battery’s marked improvement over the year. A second class gunners school runs nightly and Saturday until Dec 7 from 8–10 pm and 2:30–4:30 pm. A volleyball league is being formed and groups may contact Lieut Garvin.
