Central Falls schools observed American Education Week with Constitution themed programs at Colt Memorial High and Reynolds School. Superintendent Bennett urged patriotism, while students presented readings, music, and essays detailing civic duty and national progress.
Abraham Blackman of this town and Miss Martha Irma Pritsker of Providence filed marriage intentions. The notice records their names and locations as public filing details in the local notice ledger.
At a semi monthly meeting the town council received a $3000 suit from attorney M M Sullivan for Mrs Elizabeth Milling ton claiming injuries from a fall at Hope and Johns streets on Sept 25. A Bristol reader asks for a published denial of a Boston paper rumor accusing men of bootlegging arrests. He states he has never bootlegged and has not been arrested, asking Bristol and Boston papers to identify the article and stop the spread of the rumor.
Bristol friends of Mr and Mrs Charles C Luther Providence and Mr and Mrs Edward F Waldron Branford Conn were in Luther car when struck by electric train on the Consolidated railroad at Beach Terrace last Saturday afternoon Both couples confined to Rhode Island Hospital report steady progress Mrs Waldron with arm and hip fractures is the most seriously injured but no complications have appeared and her bones are expected to mend The engine and other wreckage have been salvaged from the scene Edith Edwards is identified as her former Bristol resident maiden name
