Marine officer leaves labor capital gifts in will
First Lt Benjamin Rush Toland United States Marine Corps Reserve of Concord New Hampshire died at Iwo Jima. He left in his will one tenth of his estate to the CIO AFL and NAM to promote better labor management relations. After taxes the gifts are expected to total about 500 to 600 dollars for each organization. Other bequests include St Pauls School Concord St Paul Episcopal Church Concord Yale University and the New York Times Christmas Fund for its 100 neediest cases.
