Students at Colt Memorial High School staged a four act Pollyanna by Catherine Chisholm Cush ing before a large crowd in the school auditorium. Miss Rachel Guthrie led the cast as Pollyanna with strong support from Esther Hazen Lucy Pagnano Uzelle de Rocha Peggy Sisson Barbara Huestis and others. Directed by Mrs M Theresa Donovan incidental music by the school orchestra and stage management by Joseph Simoes.

Vested Choir Sings Sunday At Congregational Church
Parishioners of the First Congregational Church will hear the vested choir of the Pawtucket Congregational Church Sunday evening in the local auditorium. Twenty eight youngsters and eight men in purple cassocks and white surplices form the choir. The debut in town is under the Intermediate Christian Endeavor Society. After the service, the entire party will be hosted at the Guterras House by the Society.

The Men's Union of the First Congregational Church held Past Presidents Night in the General House with about 30 members attending including four former presidents. Each ex-leader received a black leather bound New Testament inscribed by President Vincent Pettin, with A. H. Bense awarded a secretary treasurer citation for service. School Attendance Officer Hugh F. Kelley reports to the School Committee that in October he investigated 146 cases. Of these 18 were truants, 57 absent for lack of shoes, 20 due to illness, 16 from sickness or death in family, 15 kept out by parents for various reasons, 4 moved from town, and 15 sent for proper certificates. He notes 18 children were admonished and their parents notified leading to improved attendance.
