Bristol Marks Armistice With Grand Peace Celebration
Bristol held a huge armistice day parade and celebration after news of Germany’s surrender. The joyous events included sirens bells bands and a large parade led by Capt Patrick McGovern with thousands in attendance. Senator LeBaron Colt gave a patriotic address and urged support for the United War Work Campaign.
