Christmas Box Sent To Soldier in 342d Infantry
The first Christmas box for Priv Richard Drysdale of the 342d United States Infantry was mailed after examination at the Red Cross rooms. His wife delivered the package label and gifts with a ten cent stamp from 98 Constitution Street to 35 Church Street for processing. Drysdale, a Burnside Lodge Knights of Pythias member, has served in France for two months.

Probate Court session approves guardian and estate inventories

Bristol Boy Promoted to First Lieutenant
Howard N. Manchester son of Mr and Mrs Charles H Manchester of Providence formerly of this town was promoted to First Lieutenant this week and will command 800 men at Camp Lee Virginia where he is stationed after being made Second Lieutenant last April at the officers training school.
