Bristol Mothers Club outlines a year long program at Colt Memorial High School auditorium. Noted author Lieut Dawson to speak on soldiers peace

Lieut Coningsby Dawson, author of Carry On and The Glory of the Trenches, will lecture next Monday in Providence. He discusses how soldiers endured four years of trench desolation and outlines the peace they seek and the new world they hope to build after the war. Dawson recently toured American activities in France for the British Government.

Nearly 100 workers in Bristol push the United War Work Campaign with a $20,000 city quota plus a $5,000 contribution from the Rubber Company. Through last night Bristol had raised $6,320.50 and faces hard work to meet the Monday deadline.

Service at St Michael's in Thanksgiving for Allied Victory

A special service of praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God will be held at St. Michael's Church on Sunday November 17 1918 at the 10 oclock service. All town residents with a son or relative in service are urged to attend and seats are free. The rector George J Locke and assistant minister Anson B Howard urge prayers of gratitude for the victory and blessings to all.

Edward Payson Church Jr and Miss Julia Hobart Gorham married in Boston on a Wednesday ceremony conducted by Rex Henry A Stevens. The bride has taught in local public schools for 17 years and the groom has worked over 15 years at the Industrial Trust Company bank. After a short wedding trip they will live on Hope Street.
