Canon Daniel K. Davis former Navy chaplain and St. Michael’s rector spoke at Kearney Post American Legion memorial exercises urging a return to bedrock Christianity and democratic ideals. He warned democracy requires personal freedom cooperation for the common good and brotherhood of all mankind. Everett LeB Church dies. longtime Bristol County Sheriff
Everett LeB Church a former Bristol County Sheriff died suddenly at his home on Pappasquash Road. Born March 10 1872 he was a police officer for Bristol 10 years a Highway Surveyor and a long time Republican leader. He served as Sheriff under Governor Vanderbilt and was active in civic groups including the Hydraulion Engine and Hose Company Bristol Historical Society and St. Michaels Church. He leaves widow two sons Ralph and Everett P Church a daughter Mrs Wallace Mossop four grandchildren three sisters and an aunt. Funeral set for Wednesday at 3 30 from his home with Canon Davis officiating.
