Vernon A Gray is chief marshal with Edward Kavanagh as chief of staff for a May 30 1936 parade, followed by a ceremony at Grand Army Hall and a procession to the North Cemetery and Soldier’s Lot with speeches music and wreaths from local veterans organizations including the D A R and Boy Scouts.

Bristol Sewer Board Awards Fence Contract in PWA Project
Angelo Tannuccillo of Providence submitted the sole bid for a brick building at the sewage disposal plant for a PWA project. He bid 5719 for a combined garage office and storage building and for a fence near the Oliver Street pumping station. Belcher and Toomis Co of Providence bid 248840 for a steel wire fence around the plant and chain and posts for the clarifying tank.

The United States heavy cruiser New Orleans is assigned to Bristol for July 30 as part of the Fourth of July celebrations. First Memorial Day Observance in Bristol Recalled
