Parrot Gift Tied to Boston Sister and Salvation Army Care
The captain gave the parrot to his Boston sister Julia Ross where it lived for 63 years. Before the sister’s death she bequeathed the bird to the Salvation Army Home matron Adjutant May Bisbee with a request to show it kindness and keep it.
