Two Bristol men die in out of town auto accidents
Two Bristol men are dead and a third resident faces a reckless driving charge after two separate crashes Sunday morning. Thomas H. Phillips, 23, of Thames street, died after his car struck a tree on Hillside Avenue in Roger Williams Park. Albert Sutcliffe, 69, of 710 Hope Street, died at Homeopathic Hospital from a brain concussion and scalp injuries after his car rolled. Frank Smith, 50, of 24 Thames Street, driver of Sutcliffe’s car, pleaded not guilty and was held on $1000 bail for trial.

Rehearsals are nearing completion for the three act operetta Pickles by Colt Memorial High School students. The final senior class presentation will be in the school auditorium on Thursday and Friday with capacity crowds expected. Funds from the show benefit graduation expenses and school funds.
