Bristol Men Sail to Camp Upton in Rhode Island Departure
Forty men from Bristol joined 1243 Rhode Islanders departing Providence for Camp Upton New York on two special trains. War Welfare Committee, Town Council and local groups guided the escort led by Lieut Col Asa W Hathaway. A crowd at Franklin Street Station saw off the Bristol contingent. two men Antonio Montefusco and Guiseppe Ciliento were absent and search is ordered.
