A patriotic program titled The Church the War and the Days Beyond will take place Sunday at 7 30 p m in Memorial Chapel First Congregational church. It features recitations singing and instrumental music by local youths and was prepared by the National Service Commission of Congregational churches in America.

Red Cross Drive Seeks Over Top in Bristol Campaign
Bristol plans district-based effort for the Second War Fund drive aiming to reach the 500 in town and to help Rhode Island meet its state goal. Subscriptions in Bristol exceed 5000 with local meetings and events raising about 250 last week. Business Men's Outing at Mt Hope Bay Farm
The Y M C A Business Men's Gymnasium Class held a field day at the Herreshoff farm on Mt Hope Bay shore. A party of 15 arrived by autos with dinner supplies, enjoyed clam chowder, volleyball, seafood and coffee, then ice cream and ginger ale, finishing with baseball before returning tired but happy.
