Processions To Santo Cristo Feast At Elizabeth Church
Parishioners of St Elizabeth's Church will celebrate the Feast of Santo Cristo with a prom tonight and a solemn high Mass Sunday. A procession forms in front of the parish hall, travels along Mon toe, Lincoln, High, Franklin, and Wood streets to the church auditorium where the image is borne in for benediction. The image is borne by a list of named men and two bands provide music. An afternoon procession forms at 2 p.m. with a sermon at 3 p.m. Then more processions, benediction, and a concert by the two bands run until midnight. Antone Travers chairs the committee with Anthony Rego as advisor. Bishop Dedication at St Michael's Church Sunday Morning
The Rt Rev John Seville Higgins will dedicate the new altar rail at St Michael's Bristol during the 9 30 a m service. A lectern Bible and crosses for acolytes and choir will be presented. Following the service a new flag pole will be dedicated in memory of Canon Larned. A history of St Michael's Church in Bristol will be presented to Bishop Higgins Mrs Larned Walls Howe and others. Publication by Bristol Phoenix with limited copies at 150 dollars.
